1. $35/year Domain name registration (networksolutions.com – or web provider will do it)

2. Monthly web space

3. HTML software should you choose this route (you can use Notepad or Netscape Composer, both free)

4. There are free names and free websites to be had.

The downside of free web service:

1. Banner Ads clutter up your site

2. You may not get your own address

3. All the bells and whistles not available (audio files, email forwarding, cgi scripts, etc)

Look carefully at all hidden costs, such as “setup fee” - usually @ $50
