Hotel: Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Concord Golf Resort & Spa (5400 John Q. Hammons Dr NW, Concord, NC 28027)

The Embassy Suites has been under construction and is 95% complete. The restaurant, bar, and spa have been relocated to other parts of the hotel. The gym and pool are closed during our convention. Please be patient and have grace with the hotel staff.

But on the bright side, due to the construction, Region 14 will be the only guests in the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights! We think you are going to love the refreshed rooms, Atrium, and conference areas.

If this is your first time at Region 14’s convention, the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and happy hour (up to two drinks). Make sure to receive your vouchers when you check in.

Thursday, April 16 (2pm-5pm): Education Class + Regional Song Rehearsal - Education Coordinator Jamy Claire Archer will be offering an education class entitled, An SLP's Guide to Vocal Warm-Ups. This interactive class will explore quick and easy warm-up strategies you can do on your own to keep your voice healthy and build vocal efficiency in your practice.

Following the educational class, Jamy Claire will hold a regional song rehearsal. Come out and sing!

Thursday, April 16 (8:30pm-10:30pm): Welcome Happy Hour - The Region 14 RMT invites all members to join us for a celebratory Happy Hour in the Atrium as we kick off contest weekend! Light refreshments will be provided, and there will be a cash bar.

Friday, April 17 (11am-12pm): Annual Regional Membership Meeting + Ask the RMT - Join the Regional Management Team for our annual meeting. Stick around after the Regional Meeting to connect with your Regional Management Team at our Q&A tables. Visit the various tables to discuss topics like Finance, Thrive, Membership, Education, new Member site, and more! Ask questions, share ideas, and get plugged in.

Friday, April 17 (1pm): Mass Sing - Come together in the Artium / Grand Staircase to celebrate the start of the contest as we sing a selection of our regional songs, directed by regional directors.

The live stream for both the quartet and chorus contests will start 15 minutes before the contest start time. The live stream is FREE on YouTube, but donations are appreciated to help the region keep it free!

Due to the bar/restaurant area being inaccessible, the contest pattern has been altered for this year. Signage will direct you to the right spots, but please be aware of these changes.
