Singcerely quartet first got together in January 2010 just to test the waters, and liking what they heard, took the big plunge. With only a few weeks to prepare, they surprised themselves by placing 6th at their very first regional competition! On cloud 9, they hit the ground running and set off to new adventures together!

Fast forward to 2017, they have entered Phase 2 with a new baritone and are looking forward to continuing the music, madness, and mayhem! All are active members of the Carolina Style Chorus, of Sweet Adelines International, the world’s largest organization of women barbershop-style singers.

Singcerely members are: tenor-Tera Rockett, an insurance agent by day and collector of all things flamingo. She and hubby, Bruce, love to travel, especially to the beach, and are in the process of redecorating their home with a beach cottage motif.

Lead-Teresa Skinner, a customer service representative, is a certified scuba diver who loves to “snorkel with the manatees” on trips to Florida. She and hubby, Reid, are owned by a couple of cats and a quartet-herding Australian cattle dog-mix, Molly.

Baritone-Julia Twitty, the newest member of the quartet, comes with an impressive barbershop pedigree, having sung in several regional championship quartets. Recently retired from a nursing career, she and hubby, Mike, love to spend time at their new place on Lake Hickory with their 3 grown children and 2 “grands”, Matthew & Karleigh.

Bass-Cathy Chauncy-owns and operates a toner cartridge business when not providing that luscious bass voice to the quartet. She and hubby, David, recently moved out of the big city of Charlotte to the quiet of the country where they reside with Lucy, the singing Cocker Spaniel.
